Walk for Hunger
I've decided to do the 40th annual Walk for Hunger. Which means I'm going to walk 20 miles next Sunday with some friends and coworkers. I'm not sure I've ever walked that far before in one stretch, though I have walked for the same amount of time over hillier terrain while hiking, so it shouldn't be a problem. Unless the weather is shitty, by which I mean 80-something degrees (or warmer) like it has been a couple times over the past two weeks. (Yay global climate change!)
So, you know, if anyone would like to maybe donate to this cause, you should go here to do so. :-)
(Yeah, I know many of the people reading this are just as poor as me, so I won't be broken up about it if you don't donate.)
In other news, my first set of classes are ending, and my new ones haven't quite started yet, which means this week and next are a bit light. Which is too bad because it means less money, but it's also nice to have the time off. This week I have no more evening classes, so I'm hanging out with people tomorrow and maybe going to a concert on Thursday. Next week, my evenings start again but I'm off in the morning, which means sleeping in a bit.
Overall, I'm really really loving Boston, and you should all come out here too. Now that the weather is nicer, I've started enjoying the city itself, instead of "merely" taking advantage of the fact that I have so many really awesome friends who live here. (As if there's anything "mere" about that.)
